Penn State Basketball: D.J. Newbill to Play for Los Angeles Clippers in NBA Summer League

After being passed over 60 times in Thursday night's NBA Draft, the Penn State legend will get an opportunity to prove himself in Orlando.

D.J. Newbill, one of the most decorated figures in Penn State history, did not get selected during Thursday night's NBA draft. But as Tim Frazier can attest, the dream of playing in the NBA doesn't end on draft night. It only takes one team to give you a chance, and according to Keith Pompey of the Philadelphia Inquirer, Newbill will get that chance in the Orlando Summer League with the Los Angeles Clippers:

That Doc Rivers gave him his chance comes as no surprise - the Clippers were the only team who brought Newbill in for two workouts in the weeks leading up to the draft.

The Orlando Summer League runs from July 4-10 and the entire event is televised on NBATV.
