For our money, Penn State's best offensive lineman wears #59. And we're not just saying that because he's from the 7-1-7 (though that helps). Sophomore Andrew Nelson was 24/7's 11th best overall prospect in the Commonwealth for 2013, and a consensus 3 STARZ signee for Bill O'Brien. The Hershey product didn't miss a snap last year, starting all 13 games, mostly at right tackle. He held down left tackle for a few contests when Donovan Smith missed time. Andrew also played some left guard-ish and "Y" tight end in unbalanced sets. He even lined up as a (decoy) slot receiver in John Donovan's...um...diverse...offense (though he didn't get to go deep, which is a shame).
He's a good kid. He works hard, studies, does well on his boards. Follow Andrew on your twitter machine @ANelson59
