Alan Zemaitis was one of the key pieces on defense during Penn State's legendary 2005 run to an Orange Bowl win. Working with excellent players like edge rusher Tamba Hali and linebacker Paul Posluszny, Zemaitis was a critical part of the team's pass defense. He earned a second-team All-American honor for his 2005 season, and had been All-Big Ten three times during his time at Penn State.
After Penn State, Zemaitis was a fourth round pick in the 2006 NFL Draft for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but injuries kept him from ever catching on in the NFL. He spent time in the CFL with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. Since 2012, Zemaitis has been in coaching. He is currently the secondary coach and special teams coordinator at Division III Susquehanna.
If you are looking for a current number 21, it belongs to another defensive back. Redshirt freshman Amani Oruwariye will sport 21 in 2015.
Only three weeks until the start of the 2015 Penn State football season.
