A standout at Northern in Dillsburg, Salomone accepted an offer to "run on" Bill O'Brien's Penn State roster in the wake of NCAA sanctions in 2012. After redshirting his freshman year, Salomone began contributing on special teams and as a fullback/H-back. Even more importantly, Salomone contributes in the classroom.
