Only John Petrishen Until Penn State Football

16 days.

Safety looks like it'll be an area of strength this season for Penn State. With Jordan Lucas and Marcus Allen leading the way in 2015, supported by Troy Apke and Malik Golden, the Nittany Lions should be adept in deep ball coverage.

John Petrishen, however, represents the next generation at the position for the Nittany Lions. About to enter his first year on campus, Petrishen is a 6'0" 200 pound defensive back from Central Catholic High School in Pittsburgh, a city that allegedly also has a college football program. The former three-star recruit had offers from Maryland, Northwestern, and yes, 5B, before committing to James Franklin and Bob Shoop, and is noted for his speed (4.48 40-yard dash).

Though Petrishen may not see much time on the field this year, look for him to be roaming the secondary at Beaver Stadium in the future.

We're 16 days away from Nittany Lion football.
