Trevor Williams finally had his breakout last season, when he emerged as an extremely reliable corner opposite Jordan Lucas. It was great to see this transformation from Williams, after he was often picked on by opposing quarterbacks during his true sophomore campaign.
Now, with Lucas moving to the safety position, Williams is the leader of the cornerback unit. He commands a very young, but very talented group that consists of sophomores Grant Haley, Christian Campbell, DaQuan Worley and Amani Oruwariye, and true freshmen John Reid and Garrett Taylor.
Williams has grabbed two interceptions in each of the part two seasons, and will be looking to increase that number even more this year.
Also wearing number ten this season is true freshman wide receiver, Brandon Polk. It initially looked like Polk was a sure-fire redshirt candidate, but now it appears as if we may see him on the field this season, after all.
