We are less than one month until the Nittany Lions kick off the 2015 football season against the Temple Owls, and that means Charles Idemudia is our featured player today!
Yet another player in the series who began his career as a "run-on" under Bill O'Brien, the Grosse Pointe North High School star began his career at linebacker and took a redshirt during his first year on campus. From there, he spent his redshirt freshman season at linebacker, where he saw action in five contests. Just prior to the start of last season, Idemudia moved to fullback, and now looks to continue to contribute in a hybrid tight end/H-back role.
All that is well and good, but my favorite quote from Idemudia comes from an interview he gave to The D Zone, a site dedicated to Michigan high school sports. When asked why he selected Penn State in the midst of the NCAA sanctions, Charles responded, "I picked PSU long before that, and I'm going to Penn State for a world class education, and I don't see the issues with that."
Good luck this season, Charles!
