Only Troy Apke Until Penn State Football!

We are just four short weeks until the Nittany Lions kickoff their season against Temple in Philadelphia!  That means Troy Apke is the featured player on our countdown!

The sophomore safety out of Mount Lebanon, Pennsylvania was recruited as a receiver, but switched to Bob Shoop's defensive back squad during summer camp. Apke was intending to redshirt, but injuries and practice performance put him in line to play against the back end of the schedule. In the final four games, Apke recorded two tackles and put himself in position I earn more playing time during his second campaign.
