VERY IMPORTANT LAVERT HILL UPDATE
Lavert Hill's Detroit Martin Luther King squad opened their 2015 season against Warren De La Salle, another top Detroit area program. King knocked off De La Salle 12-10, with Hill securing two interceptions. The second pick came late in the 4th quarter, inside the King 10 yard line, ending a potential winning drive.
Check out Lavert's highlights from the game right here.
Lavert Hill is still committed to Penn State.

Better Know a 2017 Prospect
With just a few spots, perhaps only 3, remaining in the 2016 class, much of the staff's attention has turned to 2017. Starting today, we will be profiling some of PSU's top targets in a loaded high school class.
Philadelphia St. Joseph's running back D'Andre Swift may be the top target on Penn State's 2017 board. The 5-star back has an offer from practically every major program in the country. The Lions are clearly one of Swift's early favorites, having visited Happy Valley a number of times already. In one of Pennsylvania's deepest classes in memory, Swift is consensus top player.
Swift was actually back in State College this weekend to scrimmage the Little Lions. He did not make it over to campus, but Sean Fitz over at 247 did get a little video of Swift during the scrimmage.
D'Andre Swift didn't have a ton of room to run tonight, but he showed he's tough to bring down in the open ... https://t.co/nNBSiuuYbU

Speaking of the fine folks at 247, Steve Wiltfong had a great in depth look at Swift, not only as a dynamic back, but as a fantastic young man.
Nothing has been set up to this point, but expect Swift to be back on campus for a game sometime this fall.
Daniel Joseph Named Semper Fi All American
One of the key members of the 2016 class, Illinois DE Daniel Joseph (remember him?) was added to the 2016 Semper Fi All American Game in California. The game will take place outside of Los Angeles in January.

Andrew Pryts' commitment was the big recruiting news this weekend. Steve Wiltfong at 247 breaks down what it means for Penn State's class.
Pennsylvania's season will not begin until this weekend, but the Trib Review has a nice look at the Woodland Hills senior class, headlined by Miles Sanders (who is also committed to Penn State).
Across town, the Post Gazette unveiled their preseason Fab 22 list. Among the 2016 class, Sanders is joined by Central Catholic DB, and PSU target Damar Hamlin. In the 2017 class, Paris Ford (ATH), Donvan Jeter (DL), C.J. Thorpe (DL), Lamont Wade (DB), and David Adams (LB).
