That was fun, wasn't it? Beating Rutgers is a good feeling, and beating them handily in a thoroughly dominating performance at home in primetime is even better. Now, it's time for a third home game in a row. The San Diego State Fighting Ryan Lindleys are coming to State College, and James Franklin and Co. have some depth chart shakeups for the matchup.
At running back, Saquon Barkley unsurprisingly moves up to the #2 spot in the depth chart, after nominally being fourth last week. Geno Lewis moves up to starting as the Z wideout, with DaeSean Hamilton shifting over to F and Saeed Blacknall moving up and DeAndre Thompkins dropping down, respectively. Paris Palmer reclaims the top spot at left tackle and, oh yeah, there's still no sign of Adam Breneman while Kyle Carter still sits in reserve.
Nothing new on defense, as Jason Cabinda and Troy Reeder solidified their grabs on starting linebacker jobs. Chris Gulla officially moves up to the top punting spot after a huge game last week. Nick Scott moves ahead of Koa Farmer to take over as the top kick returner. Whether that's to get him more touches in wake of Barkley's breakout, or a dissatisfaction with Farmer, or both (or neither!) remains to be seen.
