We are just 2 (two! seriously, it's just two) days until Penn State Football kicks off its season against Temple at Lincoln Financial Field at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday! Of course, that means that safety Marcus Allen is our featured player today.
Allen, a sophomore out of (where else) Maryland, was a four star prospect out of Dr. Henry A. Wise High School. Last season, Marcus made enough of an impression during his first summer on campus to ensure that he saw the field. He made his college debut in week 1 at the Croke Park Classic, and was eventually pressed into a starting role against eventual National Champion Ohio State after Ryan Keiser went down mid-year with an injury. Allen was terrific as a true freshman, earning Third-Team Freshman All-America honors from Athlon and the All-Big Ten Freshman Teams from BTN, ESPN, and 247Sports.
Good luck this season, Marcus! We look forward to even greater success!
