The Penn State Nittany Lions men's basketball team (10-7, 1-3 Big Ten) heads to Mackey Arena in scenic West Lafayette, IN this evening to take on the 24th-ranked Purdue Boilermakers (14-3, 2-2 Big Ten). They are the 13th-ranked team in the nation according to KenPom. Bill previewed them this morning, check it out here.
Purdue has two seven-footers who excel at inside scoring, drawing fouls, shot blocking, and rebounding. They're also a terrific defensive team, both inside and outside. It's hard to overstate how bad of a matchup this is for Penn State considering their frontcourt weaknesses and proclivity for getting in foul trouble. Let's all watch together, shall we?
The game will air on the Big Ten Network at 8:30 p.m. ET. As always, no illegal streams, no politics, no pornography, and no douchebaggery. This is an open thread, after all, and we live in a society for crying out loud.
Let's go State.
