Depth Chart & Injury Report Week 9: Purdue

How does the #24 team in the nation look on paper?

NCAA Football: Ohio State at Penn State Rich Barnes-USA TODAY Sports

By far the most notable changes are the reappearance of Jason Cabinda and Brandon Bell in the depth chart. The starting Middle and Sam linebackers on the team returned to the lineup against Ohio State, and despite indications they would play a limited snap count, they seemed to be at full-strength (aside from a cast on Cabinda's thumb, which appeared to be missing in post-game interviews.)

The attentive eye will also notice that Garrett Sickels is listed behind Torrence Brown at Defensive End. If you aren’t familiar with James Franklin depth charts, they’re almost always a reflection of the previous game rather than the upcoming one. Fans of Garrett Sickels (and who isn’t one after Saturday night?) shouldn’t worry that Sickels will not be in the starting role moving forward assuming he goes to class.
