First, let’s start with hearing everyone had to say in the post-game, starting with the players and following with James Franklin.
Franklin told the Nittany Lions to “bring their own juice” and looking forward to this week’s film session.
The game ended up being another episode in the “Saquon Show,” as Barkley earned himself a helmet sticker. Thanks in large part to the offensive line’s growth this year.
While you’re at PennLive, be sure to check out Joe Hermitt’s photos.
Maybe the best part of the game was how many different players got to see action, especially how many of the young players got an opportunity to shine.
The offense was incredibly efficient against Purdue, averaging just a hair under a full point-per-play.
Even in a lopsided game, a little bit of luck is welcome, as Brandon Smith made got his interception while subbing in for Jason Cabinda, who was still getting face mask issue addressed coming out of the half.
Joe Moorhead saw Saquon’s 81-yard touchdown coming as soon as he called the play, joking about whether should just kick the extra point or go for two.
Coach James Franklin has put out the call, are you ready for another White Out?
Lastly, this game note from the Purdue end:
ICYAW: Most points by a #Purdue opponent in Ross-Ade is 56 by Ohio State in 2013. Most points in half is 42. Penn State just broke both.
