You may have been too busy admiring the copious amount of points Penn State’s offense was putting up on Purdue to remember that at one point during the game, the Boilermakers attempted a trick play that completely backfired, as seen in the video below:
Given that today is Halloween, we feel it’s appropriate that we touch on the subject of trick plays. What is your favorite trick play in Penn State football history? Perhaps it’s Joe Nastasi’s fake field goal touchdown run to seal a victory against Michigan in the famed Snow Bowl? Or maybe it’s Christian Hackenberg’s touchdown catch against Illinois last year on a pass from Nick Scott on what appeared to be a routine toss play to the right side (ironically enough, that game took place on Halloween)?
