Penn State’s phenom running back Saquon Barkley continues to pile on the recognition. His latest feat was to be named as a semifinalist for the Maxwell Award, given to the national player of the year. Penn State is tied for the lead with seven Maxwell Award winners.

Barkley leads the Big Ten in rushing yards per game at 110 yards per contest, as well as leading the B1G in total touchdowns with 11. He also leads the conference in total rushing yards with 888. He has won the Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week twice, and was selected as the CBS Sports National Player of the Week following this weekend’s thrashing of Purdue.

Congratulations to Saquon!
