Coming off the heels of their sixth straight win and a slew of upsets at the top (five of the Top 10 teams were victims of upsets this weekend), Penn State finds itself now firmly in the Top 10, with the AP poll ranking the Nittany Lions number nine, while the Coaches poll ranked PSU number 10. When the latest College Football Playoff polls are revealed this Tuesday, expect PSU to at the very least, jump to number 9, if not number 8, thanks to #8 Texas A&M and #9 Auburn, both two-loss teams, having suffered their third defeat of the season. The lone concern is whether Oklahoma, currently ranked 11th in the CFP standings, jumps ahead of PSU after their impressive beatdown of Baylor.
Including Penn State, the Big Ten now has a whopping four teams in the Top 10 of the AP poll, with #2 Ohio State, #4 Michigan, and #6 Wisconsin occupying the other Top 10 slots. #19 Nebraska also stayed put in the Top 20 after holding off Minnesota at home, 24-17.
