PSU heads into this week’s Big Ten Conference Championship game ranked at number seven, behind their opponent, #6 Wisconsin. The only team ahead of them, #4 Michigan, lost to #2 Ohio State, and thus fell out of the top four.
In addition to the Buckeyes, Wolverines, and Badgers, Pitt, the other team that beat PSU, sneaked in at #25. Nebraska fell out of the rankings, meaning only four Big Ten teams are ranked - and they’re all top ten (Iowa, somewhat surprisingly, didn’t make the rankings, after beating the Huskers and Michigan a few weeks ago).
Expect to see more movement after this weekend, which is full of conference championship games - there’s possibilities for upsets across the board (except for in the SEC, really) - and PSU, were it to win, would likely move up significantly.
