Coming off another thousand-yard performance in the season, Saquon Barkley is named Big Ten Offensive Player of the Year.

The accolades keep coming for your Nittany Lions. This time around, it’s our very own Saquon Barkley taking the Offensive Player of the Year honor. The Sophomore, a former Rutgers commit —who wouldn’t have seen much time in that loaded backfield, rushed for 1219 yards in the regular season on 228 carries, an average of 5.3 yards per carry, with 15 rushing touchdowns. In the receiving game, he had 21 receptions for 327 yards (15.6 YPR), and two touchdowns.

This is the second straight year where Barkley receives a Big Ten honor. Last year, he was named second-team All Big Ten, and will likely receive first-team honors this season.

Congratulations to Saquon!
