Kaindoh Moves Up Decision Date

Five-star defensive end Josh Kaindoh was originally set to decide at the Under Armour All-American Game on January 1, but will now make his announcement Friday December 23.

The one time Maryland commit doesn’t have a set final group of schools, but one would assume it’s the four schools he visited: Florida State, Georgia, Alabama, and Penn State. While the Nittany Lions were once viewed as the favorite to land Kaindoh, all signs point to the talented defensive end staying in Florida and going with the Seminoles.

That being said, the Nittany Lions latest commit is doing his part to have Kaindoh end up in Happy Valley.

Where Do the Nittany Lions Go After Wade?

Now that Wade has officially joined the class, there’s the obvious question of how does the 2017 class finish up? With 18 commitments, there really aren’t that many spots up for grabs. That could change with players transferring or leaving early for the NFL Draft, but much of that won’t be decided until after the Rose Bowl, so I wouldn’t expect much recruiting news until the roster situation becomes a little more clear.

Penn State Commits Litter PA All-State Selections

So it turns out Penn State’s commits are pretty good at football, as a number of the Nittany Lions’ commits were first-team all-state selections.

  • 1A All-State: CB Lamont Wade (Clairton)
  • 4A All-State: OT Desmond Holmes (Cardinal O’Hara)
  • 5A All-State: DE Damion Barber (Harrisburg), DE Micah Parsons (Harrisburg), OL Chris Bleich (Wyoming Valley West)
  • 6A All-State: OG C.J. Thorpe (Pittsburgh Central Catholic)

Penn State Not In Wade-Perry’s Top Three

New Jersey defensive tackle Dalyn Wade-Perry announced his top three on twitter, and the Nittany Lions didn’t make the cut for the three-star prospect.

Wade-Perry had planned on visiting Penn State on January 20, but that obviously isn’t happening anymore. Expect the Nittany Lions to go Elijah Conliffe or bust at defensive tackle now.
