Committany Nation (2.11.6): Lots of Offers, Sean Clifford Quotes, and More!

Now that NSD has passed, it's time to start obsessing about the collegiate decisions of current high school sophomores and juniors!

Let's just get right to it. We'll have plenty of post-mortem class of 2016 content, but 'crootin never sleeps! James Franklin has been busy, handing out a bunch of offers and lining up his board. If you're into that sorta thing, read on. Here are the offers Penn State has put out this week:

Bo Melton!

Dude's name is Bo Melton. He's from Jersey and being recruited by lots of Big Ten teams and also Rutgers. He's a high-three-star class of 2017 running back. I like his name a lot. His game's not bad, either. Color me intrigued.

Jonathan Sutherland!

The four-star 2017 safety from Virginia is another guy with a Rutgers crystal ball but he's really good, and realistically should play somewhere that doesn't suck. He's an excellent defensive back prospect, something Penn State needs. Expect that offer sheet to grow as the 2017 class really gets moving. Oh, and he's also originally from Ontario. BIG MAPLE 2.0!

Davondre "Tank" Robinson!

Another four-star 2017 safety playing his high school ball in the south (Sakerlina to be precise), Robinson is currently the number two player in the state. I'll be honest when I say I don't know much about him yet, but he looks damn good on tape and the recruiting services are big fans. Plus, he goes by Tank and used a Bill O'Brien picture in his tweet. Let's see if Penn State can out-recruit -checks offer sheet- Clemson. Shit.

Corey Bolds!

Another massive defensive tackle prospect from Paramus Catholic, alma matter of 2016's top recruit Rashan Gary. Bolds is well-regarded in the class of 2017 and has an offer sheet that includes Gary's new home in Ann Arbor, plus Bama, Clemson, Georgia, OSU, Tennessee, and for some reason Rutgers. Bolds is a stud, the #13 overall defensive tackle, and would fill a major need for Penn State after losing multiple 2016 DTs. Go watch him eat against far inferior competition (he plays some end too, and shows surprisingly good burst there).

Class of 2018 Philly Prospects!

These kids are high school sophomores. Recruiting is the worst. Simmons is a 6'2" wideout from St. Joe's Prep, and Young is a safety at Imhotep. Supposedly they are both good.
