Penn State Announces Its Pro Day Participants

Some old faces will join the soon-to-be professionals in Happy Valley.

Penn State's pro day is next Thursday, and the array of Nittany Lions looking to boost their draft stock is certainly intriguing. In all, 13 Lions will be in attendance trying to impress pro scouts.

On the offensive side of the ball, quarterback Christian Hackenberg, running back Brandon Johnson, lineman Angelo Mangiro, tight end Kyle Carter, and depth chart legend Dom Salomone will look to make an impact. Hackenberg will throw to a bevvy of receivers. Former Penn State receiver Derek Moye, who went undrafted in 2012 and was on the Titans' practice squad in 2015, will catch passes from the QB. Joining him will be East Stroudsburg University's DII All-American receiver Jon Schnaars, who will look to make a name for himself on a big stage.

The defense has lots of the depth here, including two surprise inclusions. Defensive tackles Austin Johnson and Anthony Zettel, defensive end Carl Nassib, and safety Jordan Lucas are the biggest names. Fellow tackle Tarow Barney and cornerback Trevor Williams will also be in attendance. In addition, former safety Ryan Keiser, who had a knack for big interceptions and career that stalled after a battle with sepsis, will work out. Keiser's evidently kept himself in shape, and could hopefully see training camp invites, especially in the wake of Adrian Amos' massive success as a rookie safety this year. Additionally, former wrestling standout and 285 starter Jon Gingrich will work out. I'd assume as a defensive lineman of some sort, which is something to follow for sure.
