Defenseman Luke Juha is set to join Eamon McAdam in the New York Islanders organization. The senior has signed an Amateur Tryout Contract with the Bridgeport Sound Tigers and is the fourth Nittany Lion to find a potential home beyond the college sphere just this week.

With 104 games with Penn State in his career, Juha has 15 goals and 45 assists for 60 points. Eight of those 15 goals came in the 2015-16 season, where Juha also put up 16 assists in what was a career year for the defenseman. Juha also has 181 blocked shots through his career and his 68 accumulated this season, leading the entire team by over 20.

Juha has shown improvement almost every season he suited up for the Nittany Lions. He was also given the alternate captain honor this past year and became a leader in the Penn State locker room.

Unlike McAdam's signing from yesterday, Juha was set to leave the program after graduation, so his loss was expected coming into next season. Even so, the list of former Penn Staters making jumps from the college level has continued to grow, which can only be good for the program in the long run. Juha is the seventh Nittany Lion from the program that has joined with a minor league hockey club.
