YAY HOOPS: Penn State vs. Northwestern Open Thread

The Nittany Lions go for the season sweep on senior night.

Matthew O'Haren-USA TODAY Sports

The Penn State Nittany Lions men's basketball team is about to face off against the Northwestern Wildcats for the second time this season. Tonight's affair is a late tip at the Bryce Jordan Center in University Park. It's also senior night for Penn State's four seniors: guard Devin Foster, forward Brandon Taylor, forward Donovon Jack, and center Jordan Dickerson. It is the last home game for them while students are in school (Sunday's game against Illinois will be on spring break), and hopefully there is a good turnout to thank them for their contributions to the program.

Last time out, Penn State took advantage of Northwestern's ice cold shooting night to pull off the road upset. Don't expect Northwestern to shoot 3-26 from three a second time. The line on this game is Pick 'Em, so be prepared for a nail-biter. Eric had the full preview of this game (and some thoughts on the senior class) this morning, which you can check out here.

Tonight's game begins at 9 p.m. on ESPNU. As always, the regular open thread rules apply here. No illegal streams of the game, no pornography, no politics, no general asshattery. Fair enough? Good.

Let's go State.
