Five months of competition comes down to this. After somewhere around 20 - 30 fights, each of our 9 Nittany Lions with a ticket to the NCAA Championships will learn his seed - if any - and what his bracket looks like. Starting at 6pm ET, the NCAA will release its seeded brackets for this year's wrestling national championship held at Madison Square Garden March 17th - 20th.
A "good" seed and set of matchups, and we fans will mentally project our Lion onto the podium. A "bad" seed? Whew... Outer darkness...weeping and gnashing of teeth...it's not a pretty sight. Put on the full armor of Cael, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the NCAA.
And don't forget: our top 5 wrestlers are a combined 146 - 5 this season. Which...that's pretty good.
