Success With Hyperlinking is Getting Baseball Crazy

Keeping you up to date with the latest in Penn State and Big Ten news.

Sports!

Baseball City! The scheduled game against Villanova was canceled due to NCAA rules, which means the series with Iowa, which begins Thursday, is the last series of the season for the Nittany Lions. Penn State currently sits at eighth in the conference (technically tied for 7th), with 2.5 games being the difference between fifth and and tenth place. For those not yet aware, only the top eight teams go on to play in the Big Ten Championship series in Omaha. If you're in the area, make sure to support the team starting on Thursday.

Survive and advance! The Women's Lacrosse team beat #2 Florida, 14-13 (OT) en route to the NCAA Quarterfinals. This is the fourth time in five years the team has reached the quarterfinals. Along with Maryland, Penn State is the only other Big Ten team to reach the quarterfinals this season. Next, Penn State faces Penn on Saturday at Noon with a chance to head to the semifinals (which they haven't reached since 1999).

Thanks for the note! Tom Dienhart from BTN.com has an offseason to-do list for the Nittany Lions. In it you'll find such items as "develop the defensive line, quarterbacks, and all the other positions you lost talent from last season." Seems legit.

It's starting! One of the first pieces of the 2016 basketball class is on campus. Joe Hampton will be here for both summer sessions and will be practicing with the team.

On a different note...

Penn State shared a video of the progress they've made so far remodeling the Lasch Building, and it's looking pretty good my friends! Pretty good!

#DontLose - Urban Meyer had the losers of their spring game shovel mulch due to their 28-17 loss back in April. Among the mulch shovelers were J.T. Barrett and none other than Mr. Larry Johnson himself. Johnson gets mulch duties by virtue of helping to oversee the Scarlet team.

Until next time!
