Only Irvin Charles Until Penn State Football

Just 85 days until Penn State takes on the Kent State Golden Flashes!!

Sean Fitz, 247 Sports

Many of you have become familiar with the name Irvin Charles since he committed to Penn State just under two years ago. If not, expect that to change this fall. Charles is a former four-star prospect out of Haddonfield, N.J., who picked Penn State over a laundry list of elite programs, such as Alabama, Michigan State and Ohio State, among others (not elite enough for Virginia Tech, however).

What makes Charles a potential standout for Penn State is his combination of size and speed. Since coming to Penn State, he's added 12 pounds of muscle and is currently listed at 6'4'' and 224 lbs. And boy can he move for someone at that size, clocking his 40-yard dash at 4.50. If the offensive line and quarterback situation come together, just imagine what Charles can do for the vertical passing game- especially when paired with other large, speedy targets like fellow redshirt freshman Juwan Johnson, Saeed Blacknall and tight end Mike Gesicki.

Just 85 days until the start of the 2016 season, everybody!!
