When Nick Bowers flipped his commitment from Pittsburgh to Penn State in January 2015, the Nittany Lions were not only taking a player from a historic rival, they were getting a pretty good tight end in the process.
Though Bowers was a redshirt freshman last year, there's a lot to be excited about. A former three-star recruit out of Kittanning, Pennsylvania, Bowers has put on 11 pounds since flipping and sits at 6'4'' and 265 pounds heading into his sophomore year. Bowers was pegged as the No. 14 tight end in the country by ESPN upon coming to Penn State and his big body and good hands should work well in Joe Moorhead's system.
Just 83 more days until the start of Penn State football!!
