Obviously, we are a college sports blog first and foremost. However, there comes a time when the topics we typically write about become rather trivial in the face of tragic events, such as what happened in Orlando this past weekend. All across the country, people have gathered to mourn the victims and their families, including the Penn State community (pictured, below in a tweet from Onward State). I hope that I speak for everyone at BSD when I say that our thoughts are with those whose lives were turned upside-down by this horrific incident.

- Dannielle Gibson (triple jump), Isaiah Harris (800m run), David Lucas (discus), and Brannon Kidder (1500m run) all earned All-American honors at the NCAA Outdoor Track championships in Eugene, Oregon this past weekend. Best of luck to all of them as they attempt to qualify for the Rio Olympics.
