Sam Ficken is a folk hero for the Penn State Nittany Lions, and could get the chance to extend his playing career as he's now working out with the NFL's Jacksonville Jaguars.

The workout began yesterday and continues through today, according to the team. He'll compete against Jason Myers, the only kicker on the roster last season. Myers went 26-for-30 on field goals in 2015, but missed seven extra points (which are now taken from the 15 yard line).
According to StateCollege.com, Ficken went to a minicamp with the Chiefs last summer and has also worked out for the Cardinals. He told the site that competition is fierce:
"It's a tough job to break into... Honestly there are about 50 guys who can kick in the league and there are 32 spots, so what happens to those other 18 guys who can probably do it. My goal is to get into camp and into preseason and do really well and then anything can happen at that point. Just staying with it."
