A former 3-star recruit out of Washington, DC (and rated the 5th best prospect in the District in the Class of 2015), redshirt freshman Ayron Monroe will provide some critical depth at the safety position, allowing teammates such as Marcus Allen to take breathers without seeing the secondary drop in production. Ayron’s quickness (he has been timed to run a 4.45 40-yard dash) should also provide the secondary with additional athleticism on top of what Allen, John Reid, and Grant Haley already provide.
In addition to whatever potential Ayron provides on the field, he also showcases his talents off the field as a remix artist, going by the name ‘AyRonny’ . I suggest giving it a listen sometime.
And with that, we’ve only got three weeks and change until we can start writing about actual football games again!
