Only Amani Oruwariye Until Penn State Football

Only 21 more days, folks!

NCAA Football: Indiana at Penn State Matthew O'Haren-USA TODAY Sports

You probably best know Amani Oruwariye from providing the only lowlight of Trace McSorley’s performance in the Blue-White Game back in April, intercepting a pass intended for Mike Gesicki (go to the 28-second mark of the video below).

What you may not know however, is that Amani was one of several current Nittany Lions who flipped their verbal commitments from Vanderbilt, following James Franklin from Nashville to State College right before Signing Day 2014. A former three-star cornerback out of Tampa, Florida, Amani redshirted his freshman year in 2014 before seeing action in all of PSU’s games last season, producing five tackles. If his spring game performance was any indicator though, look for him to provide some valuable depth at corner whenever Grant Haley or John Reid need a breather.

And with that, we’re merely three weeks away from seeing Amani and his PSU teammates in real, live, football action. Be excited, dear readers. Be very excited...
