Welcome back to Committany Nation! As always, if you have any questions or comments, feel free to tweet at me (@misdreavus79) or Patrick (@PatKoerbler).

Patrick and I have been beating the “recruiting will slow down” drum for about three weeks now, but this time we really mean it, like, for real, we swear. With 15 scholarships already given out for the 2017 class, there are only three spots left (on paper) for anyone else, and the staff wants to keep those in their back pockets for the can’t-miss recruits that have yet to make their decisions.

That said, D’Andre Swift has set a commitment date of September 1st:

While not expected to commit to the Nittany Lions, Penn State did make his final list. Let’s see if we’ll be presently surprised two weeks from now.

Looking into 2018, the staff as set up an unofficial visit with Ohio Offensive Lineman Blaine Scott, who has offers from Arkansas, Duke, Floria, Miami, Michigan State, North Carolina, and of course, Ohio State.

That’s it for today.
