It’s game week! We’re just six days out from the most wonderful time of the year, Penn State football season. Make sure you’ve cleared your schedules, finished any needed maintenance around the house and alerted anybody having a fall wedding that you’ll be otherwise occupied for the next few months.
Similarly, Malik Golden and Andre Robinson will be otherwise occupied for those months. Golden is a redshirt senior ready to make his mark in the secondary, where he’s expected to start at safety alongside heavy hitter Marcus Allen. Robinson, however, is fairly new to the program. The redshirt freshman was a highly touted recruit in the class of 2015 and is now looking to find time in a crowded PSU backfield. Expect Robinson, who has legs resembling tree trunks, to provide a bit of smash to the dash of Saquon Barkley, Miles Sanders and Mark Allen, though he’s plenty quick in his own right. In other words, JoeMo has an embarrassing glut of talent in the backfield for 2016. Should be fun to watch it play out just six days from now against Kent State!
