It’s Christmas Eve, everyone!

The tagline is a bit of a lie. This is better than Christmas Eve. We’re just one day away from Penn State’s kickoff against the Golden Flashes of Kent State, which means two things:

(1) We’re about to hear lots of confusing commentary (‘Penn State” and “Kent State”)

(2) We feature junior Christian Campbell!

The Phenix City, Alabama cornerback was a consensus three-star prospect out of Central High School and looked to have his college choices narrowed down to B1G brethren Minnesota and Indiana before brand new Penn State Head Coach James Franklin came knocking. Campbell committed before even visiting, and early returns have certainly been promising. As a true freshman, he appeared in 10 games, making his college debut against BTPR, starting against Temple, and logging substantial time on special teams and in reserve. Last year, Christian continued his growth, appearing in eight games before a shoulder injury forced him off the field for the back end of the season. This year, Christian looks to make an even bigger mark on the field, and we're excited to see him do it tomorrow.
