MMQB: What was the Best Moment of Penn State’s 2016 Season?

In a season filled with many memorable moments, which was your absolute favorite?

NCAA Football: Big Ten Championship-Wisconsin vs Penn State Brian Spurlock-USA TODAY Sports

What. A. Season.

The year 2016 will go down as one of the most memorable for Penn State fans, ranking among the very best in the storied history of the program. This season will be remembered fondly for years to come by any Nittany Lions fan who was fortunate to witness the many highs (and a few lows) on its way to a Big Ten Championship and top-five ranking.

If you had to pick just one moment as your favorite, which one you would you list at the top of all others?

There were so many big moments in 2016 for a long series of posts, but if I have to pick one I will go with the immediate aftermath following the “Fourth and Done” play that clinched the Big Ten Championship against Wisconsin. Grant Haley and Marcus Allen teamed up for yet another play that will forever live on in Penn State lore. As the defense rushed off the field with arms raised in the air, the sideline erupted and Nittany Lion fans everywhere let out a cathartic roar. The referees stopped play momentarily for a measurement just to be certain, but everyone knew that Penn State was just a couple kneel-downs from a completely improbable Big Ten Championship.

So what say you, BSD reader? Given the impossible task of selecting your favorite memory of a wildly entertaining and triumphant 2016 season, what is your choice?
