DaeSean Hamilton and Saquon Barkley have both been recognized for outstanding performances that helped lead Penn State to a 45-14 victory against the Indiana Hoosiers on Saturday. Hamilton was named Big Ten Co-Offensive Player of the Week following the best single-game performance of a storied career, that ended with nine receptions for 122 yards and three touchdowns. Hamilton also passed Deon Butler to become Penn State’s all-time career receptions leader. Now with 181 career receptions, Hamilton will have at least seven more games to completely shatter Butler’s previous record of 179 catches.

Hamilton split the honors with another wide receiver, Michigan State’s Felton Davis III. The Spartan contributed nine receptions for 114 yards and two touchdowns, as Michigan State topped Iowa 17-10.

Barkley was named Big Ten Special Teams Player of the Week off the strength of his 98-yard kickoff return touchdown on the opening kick, which helped Penn State take a 7-0 lead just seconds into the ballgame. Barkley also wrote his name into the history books on Saturday, becoming the first player in the history of the Big Ten to record a return and passing touchdown in the same game. The Heisman frontrunner has also been named Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week twice in 2017, including last week after he broke the Penn State record for most total yards in a game in the Nittany Lions 21-19 win at Iowa.

Congratualtions, DaeSean and Saquon!
