Micah Parsons, the No. 5 overall player in the country, will officially announce his college choice on December 20th, 2017.
My commitment is December 20th all glory to god— BLESSEDMVP (@Micah_parsons23) October 31, 2017
A longtime Penn State commit, Parsons decommitted from the Nittany Lions in April, and seemed likely to end up at Ohio State. But after a controversial tweet about JT Barrett while on his official visit in Columbus, Parsons’ relationship with the Buckeye staff soured. Eventually, the Pennsylvania five-star circled back around to the Nittany Lions, visiting for the Georgia State game, seemingly mending fences with James Franklin and his staff. Now as Parsons heads into the stretch run of his recruitment, Penn State has a big lead on the 247 Crystal Ball, owning 87% of the predictions.
There had been some talk about whether Parsons would be a take at Penn State, but after Saturday’s 39-38 defeat against the Buckeyes, I think that question was answered. The Nittany Lions need more difference makers on defense, and man, you better believe Parsons is a difference maker. He’s expected to enroll early so if he chooses Penn State, he’ll vie for playing time at not only defensive end, but possibly linebacker too.
