Penn State Depth Chart & Injury Report Week 12: Nebraska

The list of seniors making their final appearance in Beaver Stadium on Saturday includes several players who have contributed since their true-freshman seasons. The team should come away with a win, but it will be bittersweet. It wasn’t long ago that finding a senior on the depth chart was a bit of a challenge. Now we’re looking at Gesicki, Hamilton, Allen, Campbell, Haley, Cabinda and others making their final starts for the Nittany Lions at home.

In Depth Chart news, junior Manny Bowen has been replaced by Brandon Smith following a violation of team rules that kept him out of the Rutgers game. It’s unclear how long he’ll be held out, or what his offense was. In Bowen’s absence, Jan Johnson and Jake Cooper return to the depth chart in supporting roles to the now starting three of Smith - Cabinda - Farmer.

On the offensive side of the all, Tom Pancoast leapfrogs Jonathan Holland as Mike Gesicki’s backup. Additionally, Andrew Nelson overtakes Alex Gellerstedt at Left Tackle. Part of me wonders if these moves are related Pancoast and Nelson being seniors.
