Headed into Conference Championship Week, the consensus seems to be the Cotton Bowl, with two exceptions. SB Nation’s Kirk believes the Nittany Lions will appear in the Fiesta Bowl against SEC East champ Auburn. Of course, if the Tigers defeat Georgia, they will most certainly be in the College Football Playoff, removing them as an opponent. Meanwhile, ESPN’s Hale slots Penn State into the Orange Bowl to play the Hurricanes. It would be intriguing to play Miami just 22 miles from their campus, just as it would be interesting to face TCU in the Cotton Bowl just 18 miles from their home.

Record in Orange Bowl: 4-1 (Wins against Kansas, Missouri, LSU, FSU, and a loss against Oklahoma)

Record in Fiesta Bowl: 5-0 (Wins against Texas, Tennessee, Miami, USC, and Ohio State)

Record in Cotton Bowl: 2-0-1 (Wins against Texas and Baylor, and a tie against SMU)
