After Michigan State tied the game at 7, the Nittany Lions got the ball at their 25 and marched 75 yards for a score, with the touchdown pass on fourth down going for 27 yards from Trace McSorley to Saeed Blacknall. Blacknall broke two tackles on the near sideline, and evaded the Spartan defenders for the score.

Penn State leads 14-7.
