As expected, Penn State fell in the College Football Playoff Rankings after their last-second field goal loss to Michigan State on Saturday. The Lions sit at No. 14, behind USC, Michigan State, and Ohio State.

The ranking sets up an interesting few weeks, as Penn State is expected to win their next three games, while Michigan State and Ohio State, by virtue of playing each other, will get an extra loss. Could the Lions end the season ahead of both of the teams it lost to in the rankings? We’ll soon find out!

Joining the rankings this week are Northwestern at No. 25 and Iowa at No. 20. The Wildcats are 6-3, coming off their third straight overtime win, while the Hawkeyes’ 55-24 drubbing of Ohio State (and 6-3 record) warranted an appearance in the rankings as well.

Wisconsin rounds out the ranked teams for the Big Ten, as the Badgers moved up to No. 8 this week.
