Black Shoe Degenerates Week 11: Time To Make Moves

Gimme some of that Kool-Aide!

NCAA Football: Penn State at Michigan State Mike Carter-USA TODAY Sports

We’re at the home stretch. With three weeks left in the regular season, the final chances to make a push are upon us. With only one pick last week due to rules requirements, Memphis delivered. They doubled the spread with a 27-point win, keeping me alive one more week and bringing my record closer to .500 on the year.

Richness Factor (<- this is a link to the full standings)

  1. MrNoPants: 5514.35
  2. mbailey71: 2970.74
  3. Sperbro: 2760.60
  4. Dom Flaim: 2529.23
  5. TheNate: 2142.83

The top spot will likely remain unchanged the rest of the way, unless some power moves are made in the last few weeks to change that outcome. The rest of the top five continues to shuffle, as the margin between second and fifth is closer than it’s ever been.

The Picks

Pitt -9 vs North Carolina - Pitt is by no means a good team this season, but North Carolina is that much worse. The Tar Heels did play Miami close, but that was both a home game and one of the worst offensive performances I’ve seen all year by either team, where both Malik Rosier and Nathan Elliot went below 50% on the day. I don’t think Pitt will struggle with this team, even if the stadium itself is empty. $25

Texas Tech -7.5 at Baylor - Baylor is off the winless club after the beating they put on Kansas, and I do get some pause after seeing the Red Raiders lose four straight. I think, however, this is exactly what the doctor order for Texas Tech to get back on track. $22.73

Like last week, I’ll give everyone another chance at picking some games off this list. Like last week, you can only pick up to four including the ones above.
