Penn State has played quite a few games to the wire this season, with four of their seven losses in conference play coming down to the last possession (or overtime).
First, there was the game at Michigan where the Nittany Lions led for most of the game, by as many as 14 points (which, as we all know, is a curse), only for Michigan to get hot in the last five minutes and come away with the 3-point win. Then there was the Indiana game at Bryce Jordan, where James Blackmon Jr.’s buzzer beater staved off a furious Penn State rally (from, you guessed it, 14 points down), and then there was the three overtime thriller at Assembly Hall, in which the Nittany Lions had the opportunity to end the game in the same way Indiana had just a few weeks prior, by making a last second shot to avoid overtime. Lastly, there’s the debacle against Rutgers that saw everyone but Shep Garner shoot terribly from the field; to add insult to injury, this was the worst free throw shooting performance of the season as well.
So what say you? Which team would you want to get a second (or third) crack at in the Big Ten tournament? Is it one of the above? Is it Northwestern or Wisconsin? Another team? Tell us in the comments.
