Highlights
The Tale
Katshir has long been considered a Penn State lean after picking up an offer in July. He becomes the third member of the 2018 class from Central Pennsylvania’s Mid-Penn Conference, joining DE Micah Parsons and TE Zack Kuntz. His close friendship with Kuntz no doubt played a role in his Penn State selection.
The Outlook
Katshir will undoubted need to add weight in order to play outside linebacker at the Big Ten level, but his 6-foot-3 frame should help him do so easily. The staff would ideally see him play at a similar weight to Manny Bowen, who currently is currently listed at 220 pounds and will likely be nearer to 230 when he starts the next season.
Katshir has impressive ball skills as he’s played both wide receiver and safety in high school. I believe he has one of the highest floors of any kid in the class so far, and is a nice addition to a class that is already ranked as the best in the country by 247 for the 2018 cycle.
Welcome to Penn State, Charlie!
