March Madness Open Thread- Rounds 1 and 2

One of the best times of the year is finally upon us- the first full day of the NCAA Tournament. If you’re one of the lucky ones playing hooky the next few days, enjoy! Even if you’re stuck at work, you can follow along here and chat about all the madness before tearing up your bracket, or bragging about how you successfully picked that #14 seed (Let’s do it, Golden Flashes!).

Below is the full schedule for Thursday and Friday, including times, networks, and even the commentators for each game (hello again, Uncle Verne!). We’ll update this after the dust settles on Friday, but in the meantime check the schedule for round two and plan your weekend accordingly. For most of us, it looks like Old Man Winter will give us the perfect excuse to stay indoors and remain glued to the TV. And if you want to make things a little more interesting, the tournament is a gambler’s dream, with a practically limitless amount of possible wagers, including if a 16-seed finally takes down a one-seed or the total amount of buzzer-beaters throughout the tourney.

Maybe at this time next year we’ll be preparing for Penn State’s first round game with visions of a deep tourney run dancing in our heads. We can always dream, right?
