Success with Hyperlinking is Wrestling with Reports from Pro Day

Updates on postseason action from Winter Sports, and some news from Penn State’s Pro Day.

NCAA Football: Indiana at Penn State Matthew O'Haren-USA TODAY Sports

The Women’s Basketball team earned a spot in the NIT, they will take on Ohio University tonight at the Bryce Jordan Center where the Lady Lions are 14-1 on the year.

Penn State’s Wrestlers are off to a great start at the NCAA Championships which continue today. Today will be pivotal in determining whether the Nittany Lions can lock up their 6th championship in 7 years. Follow along here today for updated coverage and an open thread to chat as Session 3 begins.

The football team hosted their Pro Day on Thursday and had 11 participants. Garrett Sickels may have improved his draft stock with a strong performance at Penn State’s Pro Day. Other news includes former guard Brian Gaia getting interest as a fullback, Brandon Bell and Nyeem Wartman-White with an opportunity to show how well they have recovered from injuries sustained during the season, and some remarks about the current roster from a few of the outgoing seniors. Malik Golden shared that Nick Scott and Ayron Monroe are progressing well, and should contribute to a strong secondary next year.

I still haven’t gotten tired of reading about Penn State in preseason rankings, regardless of whether or not it’s “still too early”. The Nittany Lions come in at #6 at 247Sports’ latest countdown, which offers praise of the offense and tries to figure out who will make up the Lions’ pass rush after the departure of Sickels and Schwan.

If you missed it on the homepage, the men’s hockey team beat Michigan last night in the first round of the B1G Tournament, improving their postseason odds. They will take on Minnesota tonight at 8pm EST on BTN.
