The Nittany Lions will play Union at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday in the first round of the NCAA tournament. Union finished in the No. 8 PairWise ranking and PSU held the No. 9 spot when the dust of the season settled last night.
Denver, the top seed in the 16-team field, will also play in Cincinnati and will face off with Michigan Tech in their first-round game. Should the Lions make it to the second round, the team will likely Denver, and giving Penn State captain David Goodwin a chance to lead his squad versus the Goliath of the tournament.

There are going to be some lasting memories from the Big Ten conference tournament. The play of freshman goalie Peyton Jones, who was named the B1G Tournament Most Outstanding Player, will forever be remembered by Penn State fans. Take a look at his numbers for the tournament.

The team shares in the effort for all individual goals, as Peyton Jones was not out on the ice all by himself. And so too does the fan base and Penn State community share this accomplishment as well.
These congratulations are intended for @PennStateMHKY, but, of course, also applicable to the residents of Beaver Stadium. #WeAre!! pic.twitter.com/ZYX2XAkGz9

The team may have had to pay a little extra for their carry-on luggage on the return trip to Hockey Valley, but it is money well spent. You can count on Zach Saar to protect the trophy, keeping the seat belt fastened during the flight in case of turbulence.
Hopefully this doesn't cause a weight issue on the flight back! #WeAre #B1GChamps see you soon #HockeyValley pic.twitter.com/OKjf2K4kqI
