Success with Hyperlinking is Finding John Reid’s Replacement

Talking football, clicking links.

While seeing Penn State back out on the field for spring practice is always an exciting time, it isn’t always good news for the Nittany Lions. The injury bug bit, and folks, it bit hard as starting cornerback John Reid is most likely out for the season with a knee injury. Andrew Callahan of Lions247 takes an in-depth look at how Penn State will replace Reid. As one would imagine, Christian Campbell and Lamont Wade figure heavily into the plans.

Sticking with football, David Abruzzese of Onward State previews the impact redshirt freshman Shane Simmons will have on the defensive line. With Penn State having to replace starting defensive ends Garrett Sickels and Evan Schwan, Simmons has a great shot to see a lot of playing time in 2017.

ESPN’s FPI Index (translation: nerd rankings) has Penn State slotted at No. 8 heading into the 2017 season. Unfortunately, this thing has Ohio State No. 1 and also gives the Buckeyes a 69% chance to win the Big Ten — not nice.

Let’s talk about Penn State basketball! Pat Chambers has a couple roster spots available, and he’s hoping one of those spots will be going to just-outside-of-Philly PF/C Clifton Moore. The Hatboro-Horsham big man is signed with Indiana, but is waiting on a meeting with new Hoosier head coach Archie Miller to see if IU is still the program for him. If it isn’t, Penn State is one of the schools hoping to get a visit from Moore.

In marching band news (never thought I’d write that phrase), the Blue Band named Jack Frisbie as the new drum major. Onward State’s Katie Klodowski sat down with Jack for 10 questions so get to know the young man who I swear to God better land the pre-game flip otherwise I’m blaming him for every loss.
