We realize that May is the time of year when most of our readers are fixated on their professional sports teams, particularly with the NBA and NHL playoffs currently happening. However, we interrupt your regularly-scheduled sports-viewing to spread the good news that both the Penn State’s men’s and women’s lacrosse earned at-large bids to the NCAA Lacrosse Tournament and will play their first games in the friendly confines of Happy Valley.
The men’s squad, who finished 12-3 on the season, earned the No. 7 seed and will host Towson this coming Saturday, May 12th at 12:00 PM ET on ESPNU. The winner of that game will face the winner of Yale and No. 2 seed Syracuse.

Meanwhile, the women’s squad (15-3) earned a No. 4 seed, which was good enough to earn themselves a first-round bye. They will host the winner of Louisville and James Madison on May 14th.
